The Fire Place in association with Fire Place World Missions supports missionaries on a monthly basis in Haiti, Ecuador, Belize, Dominican Republic, India, Mexico, Israel, Two Prison Outreaches in America, Four organizations who work with the homeless and our local Veterans (VFW) of Middle Tennessee.
In Haiti, we have three children's orphanages housing a total of 37 children. One of these orphanages is exclusively a special needs orphanage. LFMC has a school which teaches life training skills. Over 1,000 students have graduated since 2004. Many of our graduates have begun feeding programs and other orphanages throughout Haiti. We offer continued support to our students beyond graduation.
LFMC provides an annual Christmas Party and the only Christmas presents for our children of the Camelot Foster Group of Middle Tennessee. We also provide dinner, a carnival and special entertainment for the evening. Each child receives at least eight items from the toy store. We have given away 5000 toys over the past seven years. Each year in May, we furnish gift bags to the single teen moms of our Sumner County School District. These bags contain essential baby items to show our love and to thank them for making the decision to keep their baby.
As Dr. Don & Mary Lou Jones stepped out in 1964 and began the missionary ministry that God called them to, the countries of Haiti and Mexico began to change through the power of the Holy Spirit. Now that both Don & Mary Lou, are with Jesus, you can be confident the legacy continues! The vision continues!
The Fire Place World Missions Organization, under the direction of Pastors Robb & Shanda Tripp, is now continuing the vision that God gave Dr. Jones all those years ago. Lives are being restored daily as we are raising up the next generation to take back what the devil has stolen.
